Frequently Asked Questions

1. How far in advance of my wedding should I shop for my wedding gown?
Start shopping for your gown as soon as you choose your wedding date and venue. Most gowns take between 4 to 6 weeks to arrive from the date you order the dress. We also have a selection of sample gowns that is on par with upcoming trends and season that can be purchased off the rack, which are great for very short time-frame brides!
2. Do you have options in my budget?
We offer an incredible and high-quality selection of gowns, priced around Rs 40,000 – 70,000/- (subject to customisations). Our bridal stylist will help you choose gowns in a price range that you’re comfortable with.
3. What if my size isn’t available? Do you customise gowns?
Don’t worry! We customise and design gowns as per customer’s preference & need. It could be an image from Pinterest or even something you’ve pictured in mind. We can help you sketch a picture of how you will look on your big day even though the gown doesn’t fit. Some silhouettes, like ball gowns and A-line dresses, are easier to try on even if the size isn’t perfect. Our stylist will do everything she can to help you feel comfortable and confident during your appointment!
4. Do you have readymade gowns?
Ready-made, off-the-rack gowns are sold as is, and are a wonderful option for brides who don’t have the liberty for a customised gown, and/or for brides who want to wear a designer gown at a fraction of the original price. Our ready-made gowns are available all through the year with new collections added every 4-6 weeks.
5. When I find my dress, what would be my deposit?
We require a 50% deposit to place your order. Once your order is confirmed, no changes, exchanges or cancellations can be made since all orders are custom-made. The remaining 50% is due upon gown arrival/delivery.
6. Who should I bring with me to my appointment?
About 3 family members or friends whose opinions you value most. Wedding dress shopping is fun but can get overwhelming and stressful for a bride-to-be when she has to weigh in the opinions of many people. We recommend avoiding large groups and toddlers accompanying you for your appointment. We do realize there can be special circumstances – please contact us, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
7. Will I need alterations?
Some amount of alteration is needed for every gown to fits like a glove. These alterations can vary from gown to gown and bride to bride! If you have the liberty of time, we can have your gown ready for you in a day or two! Yes you heard that right….We partner with excellent in-house tailors with years of bridal gown experience who will cater to all your fitting needs.
8. What size are your gowns?
We don’t believe in “one size fits all.” The gowns at Menorah Bridal ranges from XS-XXL. Every bride is unique and we strongly believe that every bride deserves a beautiful gown for her wedding day. Our Gowns (i.e. what you try on in-store) will rarely be a perfect fit, but thankfully our bridal stylists are experts at giving you a great idea of how the gown will fit when it’s made in your own size.
9. Do I need an appointment?
We will welcome you whenever you come (subject to opening and closing hours) with or without an appointment. But, there are days when our bridal suites are full. To make sure that you have a bridal suite for trying on and a stylist all to yourself, we recommend calling ahead and booking an appointment. You can schedule an appointment or by calling our boutique.
10. What if I need more time to choose my dress?
If you need more time to make your decision, we will schedule a return appointment for you. Our goal is that every bride we meet
says yes to the perfect dress while having the best time! We do offer private appointments on select days, which are a full two hours with the store to yourself! These appointments are so much fun, and the perfect time to even have some High-tea!
